The Control Panel Does Not Work

If you’ve got a microwave with a touchpad that does not work, it can be extremely stressful. You cannot set it at the right time or heat. If this is the case, you might have to wipe down the control panel. The reason for this is that you might have touched it with dirt or food that might interfere with its operation. If the issue still continues, it probably has a worn-out membrane switch. You might have to replace it.

The Turntable Is Not Spinning

For those who don’t know, the area where you put your dish is called the turntable. It should spin always to cook evenly the food. If the turntable is not spinning, you’ve got to make sure it is properly set and verify that the guide roller under the plate is not broken.

If the turntable isn’t spinning, the reason can also be a faulty coupler or drive motor. Luckily, a professional appliance repair technician can fix this issue right away.

The Door Will Not Properly Work

A microwave door has to work properly for it to properly operate. There is a high possibility that the door latch assembly has a problem if the door does not lock. In addition to that, the problem might be because of an issue with the hinges or torsion. You can utilize it if you manually hold the door. However, the heat can still escape. This can result in high utility consumption.

If the door does not work properly, hire a professional technician since you might cause further damage if you fix it on your own.

It Will Not Heat

It can be really frustrating to take out food from the microwave only to find out that it is still cold. A microwave can run and fail to cook or heat food. This can be a result of a faulty magnetron.

If you always operate your microwave empty, a magnetron might burn out. In addition to that, failure can also happen because of other reasons. This includes failed door switch, transformer failure, capacitor burn, loose connections, and overheating.

Other parts will still work even if you’ve got a faulty magnetron. Because of this, your unit will still turn on. However, it won’t produce any heat. An expert technician can fix this problem.
